The night of December 1 proved to be a truly magical evening for me. Not only did Ballet Manila come home with four trophies from the 27th Aliw Awards (including one for myself as Best Classical Dancer and one for my daughter, Missy, as Discovery of the Year), earlier that evening I also joined 22 other Filipino personalities in arts, sports and entertainment at the unveiling of the “stars” at the Walk of Fame Philippines in Eastwood City!
Walk of Fame Philippines is the local version of the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Launched in 2005, it is a veritable “labor of love” of Master Showman German Moreno, who, as curator, handpicks the personalities to be honored each year. It was an honor to be in the company of such veteran actors as Dante Rivero, Tony Ferrer, Daisy Romualdez; musical artist Jaya; champion bowler Paeng Nepomuceno; wellness guru Cory Quirino, and the younger crop of celebrity honorees who have all excelled in their chosen fields.
Let’s relive that magical moment in pictures. Come take a walk among the stars with me!
